RDN Win Part of 42.3m Flood Scheme from the EA

Radio Data Networks design approved, and contract awarded as part of the Environment Agencies £42.3 million project in partnership with Birmingham City Council to protect 1,500 homes in Witton, Great Barr and Perry Bar from flooding cased by the River Tame.

RDN’s part of the contract is to supply the critical Ofcom licensed Radio Telemetry backbone upon which sits a number of Solar Powered Evacuation Beacons, an Automated Solar Powered Flood Valves and a Flood Gate Status transmitter all reporting back to an Interface Gateway connected to the main sites SCADA, all designed and supplied by UK based RDN.
