SDI-12 Sensors Go Wireless

05/01/2016

New for 2016 – the RDNET range of wireless SDI-12 radio interfaces. These battery powered units are able to both control power to and take readings from a wide variety of SDI-12 instruments and to broadcast the data in either a drive-by or fixed network format.

Ideal for pressure transducer interfacing the units already have been successfully trailed interfaced to a Impress S12S combined pressure and temperature SDI-12 transducer.

The advantages of SDI-12 are that the data is precise without the risk of errors and the need for calibration as is the case with 4-20mA loop devices. Further a single interface can deliver multiple readings.

Delivering all the advantages of real-time data the wireless SDI-12 transmitter can be used for a wide variety of applications from Borehole Monitoring, PH sensing, temperature reporting and flow measurements. Finally unique to the transmitter is the ability to broadcast real-time messages instant messages in just a few ms in the event of system tamper – making the units ideal for the mission critical applications such the protection of water assets.
