Satellite River Level Monitoring

River Level Monitoring is crucial for Flood, Dam Level Management, Drought and Irrigation Control. Using the LEO Satellite Network by Iridium we are able to set up a satellite river monitoring solution using using ultrasonic, microwave radar or pressure transducers with mm accuracy that will operated autonomously  24/7/365 without communication blackspots, SIM cards or fear of network outages and obsolescence.

We have a number of Telemetry interface modules that power, read and deliver measurement data concerning river levels and flow rates from absolutely anywhere. By using the LEO satellite networks and optionally a combination of our licenced radio we are able to bring back readings equally from within a town centres or from a remote mountain valley.

Using LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellites means that  terrain no longer needs be considered, as long as the unit can see the sky data will be uploaded. Further, unlike geostationary satellite solutions there is no need for large vandal prone dish antenna and to worry about the shadow from trees, buildings, river banks, hills or mountains.

Solutions can be battery powered and antenna totally covert. system enclosures/boxed can even be disguised as bird boxes or electrical supply boxes.
