Chalk streams are valuable ecosystems which have sadly been impacted upon by human activities from farming to water abstraction via boreholes.

RDN offer a comprehensive 10-stage chalk stream monitoring service that can include everything from conducting surveys and feasibility studies to identify locations for gauging, manual flow staging, gauge installation, data capture, data hosting and data presentation.

With permission to install a challenge, we have gone for the no-dill non-evasive route to remove the barriers. Simply we have developed a range of clamps and brackets that enable gauges to be safely attached and secured to most structures without the need drilling.

Stage 1 – Adjust the Frame to suit the wall ( 9in, 14in or 18in)

Anti-theft and tamper is hot on the agenda too, with the majority of gauges installed in publicly accessible places one can never be complacent. Hence, all our mounting frames and brackets include locks to prevent both nuts and gauges from being removed without keys or the combination to the lock.
