The BDT staff gauge is available in heights ranging from 1m to 4m and comprises of a GRP upstand with optional hinged service cover, housing within a RDNET1000 single or dual level BDT transducer transmitter assembly.  The staff gauge can be supplied for wall or ground mounting, or a hybrid of the two. When intended for ground mounting it is supplied with a 60cm extension root.

The staff gauge is designed for ease of installation, does not require mains power enabling it to be installed almost anywhere. Staff gauge is normally supplied fully configured, cut to length and when ordered fitted with either a metric or imperial gauge board.

Depending upon the variant of the staff gauge ordered its function can be multipurpose.  Firstly, during daylight it can simply provide a visual display of levels, no differently to a traditional staff gauge. However, in parallel its electronic sensors within the gauge can uniquely be used to send automated messages to control a variety of display, control and messaging devices, including road signs and flood control valves. Systems can also interface directly with a sites BMS or SCADA system, via a fully isolated gateway.
