RDN Wins Expansion to its Borehole Monitoring Programme for Belgium

RDN’s dominance of the borehole monitoring market across Europe was confirmed in May with the awarding of an expansion to its existing programme of works across Belgium.

The system is a sophisticated form of IoT network that does not use the internet or rely upon cellular networks, SIM cards or risky licence free IoT WAN technologies which too often operate on the crowded and constantly eavesdropped 860-870MHz SRD band.

The expansion of this system is seen as a testimony to the concept of real-time “private” networks and backbones, which is able to take the pressure and temperature data from the tip of the pressure transducer located up to 350m below the surface to the clients data server without touching the public internet.
