RDN to Launch LEO Satellite Based River and Flood Monitoring Solution at the Flood Expo

Radio Data Networks are Launching their new range LEO Satellite based monitoring solutions aimed at remote flood and river level monitoring at this year’s Flood Expo at the NEC held between the 12th and 13th of September.

Unlike traditional satellite or cellular monitoring solutions this solution offers a true “Deploy Anywhere” capability, with a choice of Battery or Battery/Solar Operation, Bollard, Kiosk and Railing Mounting Outer Enclosures. There are no SIM cards to worry about being stolen and similarly there is not a visible dish antenna to attract thieves and vandals.

Initially interfaces will include 4-20mA, 0-2V, 0-10V and SDI-12.  However we are offering a range of bespoke interface solutions for more exotic sensors such as our rail track-bed flood warning sensor featured in the picture above.
