Radio Data Networks Patent GB2525142 Liquid Level Sensor

RDN Granted Innovative Patent on Liquid Level Sensor for Telemetry and IoT

23/04/2018

Radio Data Networks Founder and CEO Brian M Back is pleased to announce that the company was granted on the 18th April 2018 a Patent GB2525142 for a new breed of ultra-low power, highly robust liquid level sensors intended for a wide range of applications.

Operating at ultra low power levels and requiring a supply voltage of < 3V the sensor will be the ideal partner for IoT type applications where the availability of suitable sensors is already cited as one of the main of impediments to the widespread adoption of IoT.

The sensor which follows closely in the footsteps of the companies BDT and FDT is expected to be available for both OEM and integrated (with wireless) by the summer of 2018.

With its low power consumption it offers a fast read rate, robust construction, ability to withstand submersion IP68 at 10m, the and the ability to resolve levels in challenging locations such as sewers,  CSO overflows, weirs, culverts, making it a real alternative to ultrasonic and radar based level sensing solutions.
